Thousands show up for annual God and Country Festival at Ford Idaho Center

Every year, several thousand people head to Nampa for the annual God and Country Festival.

Thursday's event was the 56th year of the event -- which celebrates everything America.

It's a non-denominational Christian event. For the first time ever, it was held indoors. From special guests such as Nampa mayor Debbie Kling, there were also displays be the National Color Guard, live Christian music and food.

"I’m a Vietnam-era vet and anything patriotic, anything that points to how great our military is and how great our God isI want to be there," said Sue Hoffman, attendee. "I want to help celebrate. I want to be with other people who have been there too.”
