Bruce Wong, Ada County Highway District's executive director, to resign in May

ADA COUNTY, Idaho (CBS2) — According to a recent news release, the Executive Director of the Ada County Highway District (ACHD), Bruce Wong, announced he would step down from his post in May.
Wong is the ACHD's 8th Executive Director and the longest-serving, leading the District for 13 years. He joined ACHD in 2011 after serving in military and private sector leadership roles.
During his tenure at ACHD, Director Wong earned several awards and accolades, including the Idaho Business Review's CEO of Influence for Leadership, their ICON Award for a lifetime of achievements and impact on Idaho, the COMPASS Leadership Award and the WTS International's Ray LaHood Award.
"I owe all to Miss Janice and to the team of incredible professionals supporting me that made me successful throughout my career," said Wong. "It has been the highest honor to serve the Ada County Highway District and the people of Ada County."
Director Wong's wife, Janice, will also be wrapping up her career after 20 years of serving the West Ada School District community. The Wongs look forward to their next adventure professionally and personally.
Wong serves as an Honorary Commander with the 366th Fighter Wing and has recently been selected as a board member for Boise State University's Colleges of Art and the Environment.
The District will begin a nationwide search to fill the Executive Director role in March.
